Fisheries-Independent Monitoring Program 2007 Annual Data Summary Report

This report provides a summary of the data collected in 2007 by the Florida Fishand Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) Fish and Wildlife Research Institute’s(FWRI) Fisheries-Independent Monitoring (FIM) program. Monitoring was conductedmonthly using a stratified-random sampling (SRS) design in Tampa Bay, CharlotteHarbor, the northern Indian River Lagoon, Cedar Key, the southern Indian RiverLagoon, Apalachicola Bay, the Florida Keys, and northeast Florida. Gears used forroutine monitoring in the various areas included 21.3-m seines, 6.1-m otter trawls, and183-m haul. A visual survey of Selected Reef Fish Species was conducted in the FloridaKeys (Table OV07-01).
