Fisheries-Independent Monitoring Program 2008 Annual Data Summary Report

This report provides a summary of the data collected in 2008 by the Florida Fishand Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) Fish and Wildlife Research Institute’s(FWRI) Fisheries-Independent Monitoring (FIM) program. Monitoring was conductedmonthly using a stratified-random sampling (SRS) design in Tampa Bay, CharlotteHarbor, the northern Indian River Lagoon, Cedar Key, the southern Indian RiverLagoon, Apalachicola Bay, and northeast Florida. Gears used for routine monitoring inthe various areas included 21.3-m seines, 6.1-m otter trawls, and 183-m haul seines(Table OV08-01).
