Fisheries-Independent Monitoring Program 2009 Annual Data Summary Report

This report provides a summary of the data collected in 2009 by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) Fish and Wildlife Research Institute‘s (FWRI) Fisheries-Independent Monitoring (FIM) program. Monitoring was conducted monthly using a stratified-random sampling (SRS) design in Tampa Bay, Charlotte Harbor, the northern Indian River Lagoon, Cedar Key, the southern Indian River Lagoon, Apalachicola Bay, and northeast Florida. Gears used for routine monitoring in the various areas included 21.3-m seines, 6.1-m otter trawls, and 183-m haul seines (Table OV09-01).
