Recovery Plan for the Florida Scrub Jay
CURRENT STATUS: The Florida scrub jay occurs in small, isolated patches ofscrub in peninsular Florida. The estimated population is between 7,010 and10,978 individuals. This species is federally listed as threatened due toloss of habitat. Most land favored by scrub jays is in areas of high realestate values.
