Characterization of Baseline Conditions of the Physical, Chemical and Microbiological Environments in the St. Johns River Estuary
Ulcerative Disease Syndrome (UDS) or Ulcerative Mycosis (UM) is arecently described disease of menhaden and other estuarine fish of theeastern coast of the United States. This disease has caused greatconcern among state and federal marine resource and environmentalagencies. Recently, Florida has become a site of special efforts, sincean outbreak of UDS has been described in the St. Johns River, nearJacksonville.
